This is the first time I have posted on this blog in over a year and a half. Still I find people subscribing and visiting this site on a daily basis. Why did I abandon the blog? Because I don’t ONLY blog for others to read what I write. I blog so I can earn a living.
In over a year and a half I have had over 150,000 people visit this site. I have not made a single sale on any product from this site. I have not sold even 1 subscription to highlights magazine or nickelodean magazine. I have made absolutely $0 profit from a site that has had over 150,000 views!
With the ratio of 0:150,000 I see no need to continue to blog here. If you people honestly like or care about what I have to say, then show me! Its that simple. If I ever receive so much as one commission check I will start posting here again. HOWEVER….
I refuse to spend time and effort on a site that will not generate me any income. Now many of you may say then I blog for the wrong reasons. Perhaps thats true but I blog for a living! Imagine you are a writer for time magazine and suddenly they tell you “well you should be writing because you enjoy writing and the topics you write about. Just look at your fan base. So we won’t pay you for any other articles you publish”.
How are you going to make a living? I will tell you how. You will quit writing for Time magazine and go somewhere that will pay you. Thats exactly what I have done. I quit writing about being a single father.
I am happy to say I make about $1000 a week from blogging, but until I see some return from this blog consider it as an official “I Quit”.
